Welcome to your mailbox. With this function you can communicate with another users of our Club safely and confidentially (the anonymity is guaranteed as the email addresses of both recipient and sender remain confidential), storing the exchanged messages (instant messages are not stored but only mailbox messages, those sent from the users' profiles). Remember that your mailbox (that is, your mailbox on the Metropolis Club website) is automatically and for free supplied when you register, corresponds to your Username (and so the other users of the Club will write you in mailbox, without knowing your Email Address that remains confidential), and it is usable only inside our website.

The unread messages will be automatically deleted after 40 days; instead the read messages will be automatically cancelled after 7 days.

Inbox
When you receive a mailbox message addressed to your Username, this arrives in your folder "Inbox". Click on the subject to read the message. The new messages or not read yet present an icon representing a closed envelope; once read the message the envelope will be open. The unread messages will be automatically cancelled after 40 days; instead the read messages will be automatically cancelled after 7 days.
To delete the messages, select the boxes found near the messages you want to delete and then click on "Delete the selected messages", placed down.
If the user has published his/her profile, his/her photo (or a little icon) will be viewed on the last column to the right. Click on the photo or on the Username to view the profile of the sender.
After having clicked on the subject of the message to open it and after having read it, you can choose between three options:

Answer: a page will be opened where you can write an answer to the message;

close: close the current message (without deleting it);

Block or ignore user: block or ignore the messages coming from this sender.
In "Inbox" may be temporarily stored the mailbox messages you receive, after that will be automatically deleted by the system.

Outbox
When you send a new mailbox message to other users, it remains a copy of it in the folder "Outbox": the messages unread by the recipient will be automatically deleted after 40 days; instead the message read by the recipient will be automatically deleted after 7 days. The messages not read yet present an icon representing a closed envelope; once the read the message by the recipient the envelope is opened.
To send a new message and therefore contact another user, you simply go to his/her personal profile and click on "Send me a mailbox message": a page will be opened where you can write and send a new message.

List of blocked or ignored users
If you receive undesired mail (both instant message and mailbox messages) from the users of the Club, you can avoid receiving another messages, by blocking or by ignoring the senders. You only have to click on the subject of the received message to open it and then click on "Block user" (if the unwanted user tries to write you again, he/she will not be able to do it and he/she will informed that you blocked him/her) or on "Ignore user" (if the unwanted user tries to write you again, his/her messages will be automatically deleted). The unwanted user will be added to the' "List of blocked or ignored users". If in the future you again want to receive messages from this user, you will be able to do it by simply removing him/her by this List.

You have new mail!
If you are online the message that another user has sent you will be viewed in real time (as if it were an instant message).
If you are offline, you will be forwarded a notice to your Email address which informs you that new mail has arrived in your mailbox on Metropolis Club website.
